A trade shop wired into Business Central

Technical Touch has been the official KYB importer for Europe since 1992, supplying dealers with suspension parts that only fit specific bikes. We built their Magento trade shop and connected it to Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.

The challenge

A trade counter that never closes.

Technical Touch sells to a worldwide network of distributors and authorised dealers. The catalogue runs from complete factory kits down to individual shims, and a part that fits one fork can be wrong for the next.

Dealers needed to log in, find the exact part for a bike, see their own price and stock, and order online. Every order had to reach the ERP without retyping, and the shop had to take its products, prices and customers from the ERP rather than keep a second copy.

What we did

What we put in place.

Dealer accounts

Dealer login and account applications, with each customer’s own price shown beside the RRP, quick order and wishlists.

Parts finder

Search by manufacturer, year, engine size and model, with a fitting list on every product. Shims are chosen by diameter and thickness, springs by rate.

Business Central integration

Products, kits, attributes, images, categories, stock and dealer discounts flow from the ERP. Web orders arrive as sales orders, and shipping and tracking flow back.

Two ERP companies, one shop

One storefront fed by two ERP companies, with invoices and other ERP pages shown in the dealer’s account.

Worldwide dealer map

Distributors and authorised dealers on one map, with a route to apply for a trade account.

Dutch and French

Translations across categories, attributes and products.

The outcome

What changed.

  1. The right part, first time

Kit parts only show for the bikes they fit, so dealers order what will actually go on the bike.

  2. One source of truth

The ERP stays in charge, so prices and stock on the web match the office.

  3. No retyping

Orders go straight into Business Central as sales orders.

  4. More than a website

A brochure site, a catalogue, MXGP and FIM programme adverts every season since 2023, and adverts for KYB Japan.
