Cookie policy
What this website stores on your device, why, and how to accept, refuse or change your choice at any time.
Last updated 28 October 2026.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Websites use them to work properly, to remember your choices and to measure how the site is used. Similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage, do the same job, so this policy covers them too.
What we use
We only use cookies that are strictly necessary without asking you. Everything else, which here means Google Analytics, stays off until you accept it. We do not use advertising cookies.
| Name | Set by | What it does | Lasts | Used |
|---|---|---|---|---|
pc1-consent | PC1 (this website) | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics, so we do not ask again on every page. Held in your browser’s local storage, not as a cookie. | 12 months | Necessary |
_ga | Google Analytics | Tells one visitor from another so visits and page views can be counted. | 2 years | Only if you accept |
_ga_DXF1DM562Q | Google Analytics | Keeps track of a visit (a session) while you move between pages. | 2 years | Only if you accept |
Your choice
When you first visit, a banner asks you to accept or reject analytics. Both options are equally easy. We remember your choice for 12 months and then ask again. You can change your mind at any time:
If you reject, or later withdraw consent, we ask Google Analytics to stop measuring your visits and remove its cookies from this site. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some websites may not work as expected without them. Google offers a browser add-on that stops Google Analytics from collecting data on any website: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Google Analytics
If you accept, Google Analytics records how you use the site: the pages you view, how long you stay, roughly where you are, and the kind of device and browser you use. We use this to see which pages are useful and to improve the site. We do not use it to identify you personally. The data is processed by Google, which may handle it outside the UK. You can read how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Our contact form
The quote form on our contact page uses Cloudflare Turnstile, a spam check that loads from Cloudflare only when the form is shown. It protects the form and the people who use it, so it runs whether or not you accept analytics. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Other websites
Some links on this site, such as our remote support session, take you to other websites. They have their own cookie and privacy policies, which we do not control.
