Telecoms · 8x8 partner · Microsoft Teams

8x8 hosted phone systems that live in Microsoft Teams.

We move your numbers to 8x8 and connect them to Teams, so every desk, laptop and mobile rings like the office. Set up, supported and billed by the same team that runs your IT.

One number. Every device. Your existing Microsoft 365.
—days until BT’s analogue lines switch off, 31 January 2027

If it plugs into a phone socket, it needs a plan.

Openreach says the date will not move again, and business lines get no emergency fallback. Old line rental has also gone up three times in 2026. We check everything still on copper:

  • Phone lines & ISDN
  • Alarm and lift lines
  • Card machines
  • Door entry & fax
  • Old phone exchanges

Two ways to run it

In Teams, or in the 8x8 app. Same numbers either way.

Most of our clients already pay for Microsoft 365, so we start there. Where Teams doesn't fit, 8x8's own app does the same job.

Recommended for Microsoft 365

8x8 Voice for Microsoft Teams

A dial pad inside Teams. Staff call customers, take transfers and join queues from the app they already use for chat and meetings.

8x8 Work app & desk phones

A complete cloud phone system on its own: desktop and mobile apps, desk phones and DECT handsets, managed from one portal.

Apps for every device

Desktop and mobile, with your office number, video meetings and team chat.

Certified handsets

Desk phones, DECT and headsets supplied by us.

Room to grow

Add contact centre features when you need them.

Included

Everything a phone system should do, without the box on the wall.

8x8 runs in the cloud, so there is no exchange to maintain and nothing to replace when you move office.

8x8 Voice for Microsoft Teams

Make and take normal phone calls from the Teams app on any device, with your existing numbers.

Keep your numbers

We port your current numbers to 8x8 and plan the cut-over so customers never hear a dead line.

Call queues, ring groups & menus

Route calls by department, time of day or skill, with voicemail and overflow to mobiles.

  • Auto attendant menus that greet and route every caller
  • Call forwarding, and voicemail delivered to email

Call recording & analytics

Record calls for training or compliance and see who answered, how fast, and what was missed.

Supervisor tools

Monitor, whisper and barge in on live calls, and manage queues from inside Teams.

Desk phones, DECT & mobiles

Certified handsets and headsets for the people who still want a phone on the desk.

Network built for voice

We set up the firewall, Wi‑Fi and broadband so calls stay clear. Phones and network are one team's job.

  • Backup connections and failover, so calls carry on if a line drops

One bill, one number to call

Phones sit alongside your IT, security and CCTV on the same contract and the same support desk.

  • Every office and remote worker on one system
  • Add users or a new site without new hardware

Why buy phones from your IT company

Bad calls are usually a network problem.

When a phone company and an IT company share your network, a choppy call becomes a blame game. We run both, so the firewall, Wi‑Fi and broadband are set up for voice before the first call, and one desk fixes whatever goes wrong.

It also means one contract. Phones sit with your Microsoft 365, security and CCTV on the same bill, with the same engineers, from the same office in Swansea.

Telecoms questions

What people ask before switching.

Can we keep our existing phone numbers?
Yes. We port your numbers to 8x8 and schedule the switch so calls keep arriving throughout.
What do we need for Teams calling?
8x8 Voice for Microsoft Teams needs an 8x8 X Series licence plus a Microsoft 365 licence that includes Teams and Teams Phone. We check what you already own during the free line audit, so you do not pay twice.
What happens on 31 January 2027?
Openreach is switching off the old analogue phone network. Business lines have no emergency fallback, so anything still on copper, including phone lines, alarms, lift phones and some card machines, can simply stop working. Legacy line rental has also risen sharply through 2026.
We don't use Microsoft Teams. Can we still use 8x8?
Yes. The 8x8 Work app runs on Windows, Mac, iPhone and Android, and works with desk phones, so you get the same features without Teams.
What if our internet connection goes down?
We can add a backup connection with automatic failover, and calls can overflow to mobiles through the 8x8 app, so customers still get through.
Can one system cover several offices and remote staff?
Yes. Every office, home worker and mobile sits on the same 8x8 system with one set of call flows, and adding users or a new site needs no new hardware.
Will call quality be good enough?
Call quality depends on your network. Because we run the firewall, Wi‑Fi and broadband as well, we set them up for voice before the phones go live.
