Radar Detection

An extensive security solution that detects area and road monitoring in all light conditions.

Capture Information That Standard Cameras Won't

Traditionally, radar has been used for military purposes, the technology being used to accurately detect moving objects in little to no light. Moving forward, it has become popular in a wide range of industries and has proven itself to be an important addition to camera systems.

But how does it actually work?

Much like a bat uses echolocation to navigate at night, radar transmits radio waves, and when it hits an object, part of it bounces back to the device. A receivers gets this signal and translates information that allows it to calculate the location and velocity of the object. Because they don’t have a camera, but they do provide a lot of critical information, they are the ideal addition to a camera system to allow you to get the most data out of your surveillance.

Precision and Reliability

By nature, radar isn’t dependent on visibility. And it’s not “fooled” into reacting erroneously to things like moving shadows, beams of light, small animals, or insects. Its advanced technology can distinguish between humans, vehicles, and other moving entities. This precision minimises false alarms and ensures reliable monitoring in various weather conditions, including rain, fog, and darkness.

Comprehensive Coverage

The radar detection systems are perfect for large outdoor spaces with moderate movement activity. If you have a fenced off outdoor area of an industrial site, for example, radar can spot anyone attempting to climb in. Get 180-degree coverage with up to 60m range for people, and up to 85m range for vehicles.

Information Cameras Can’t Provide

The technology in Radar Detection means they can provide you with critical information that most cameras aren’t able to, like an objects precise position, speed and direction of movement, as well as identifying what type of object has been identified.

Cost-Effective Solution

Radar detection systems often require fewer devices to cover larger areas compared to traditional surveillance methods. By reducing the number of cameras needed for effective monitoring, you can lower installation and maintenance costs while still achieving comprehensive surveillance. This efficiency not only saves you money but also simplifies system management, allowing for easier upgrades and adjustments as your security needs evolve.
